So I'm back to having gone over the grocery budget.  I know that Dave's plan says that if you go over, that means you have to pull from another envelope but that's not how we work it.  Because both of our pays can fluctuate weekly (as hourly employees) we put the "extra" from our checks into savings and then at the end of the month, if we haven't had to use it to make up our checks, we use it to make a larger payment on whatever we are working on paying off...so there is always a little extra money in our savings account to cover when I go "over".  We've talked about rasing the grocery budget from $75/week to $100/week but I want to keep trying to make the $75 work.  Here's hoping!
